Quick heads-up / sanity check on a storage box we just upgraded. The OS upgrade seems to have scrubbed the scheduled task responsible for taking VSS snapshots. As a result, Previous Versions is completely dead in the water right now.
What’s the recommended, supported route to re-provision this trigger? Are we supposed to re-enable/re-configure it through the Volume Shadow Copies GUI settings on the drive properties, or is there a native PowerShell cmdlet/WMI method to stand the shadow copy schedule back up without hitting edge cases down the road?
