Can't add a verizon.net email to Outlook 2024 classic ltsc

Some background.

My laptop (Dell Inspiron-16 32 GB ram & two(2) 1-TB SSDs) which has Outlook 2024 is dying so I bought another PC and another Office 2024 license. On the laptop I had not had problems with receiving my emails.

The new PC is a Dell ECT1250 with 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD. The processor is a Intel Ultra 7 265 series 2.

Both my laptop & PC are running Windows 11 Pro 25H2 with the latest updates.

I installed on the new PC and was able to add 3 email accounts with no problems. However, my verizon.net address won't get added. I constantly see the error: "We couldn't log on to the incoming (IMAP) server. Please check your email address and password and try again."

I have tried doing automatic and manual setup a number of times and always get the same result if I use the settings Outlook "suggests".

I tried manual setup and overrode the incoming/outgoing settings that Outlook was trying to use to what AOL says to use - AOL provides the mail service for this email address. On my laptop I believe I had to do this to get it to work 6 months ago, when I went from 2021 to 2024, but it doesn't work now.

I tried exporting my .OST from the email account on my laptop and imported the .pst into the Outlook on the PC, but only folders showed up, NO emails themselves.

The settings Outlook was trying to use were: imap.mail.yahoo.com/port 993/SSL/TLS and smtp.mail.yahoo.com/port 465/SSL

The settings from AOL are: imap.aol.com/port 993/SSL and smtp.verizon.net/port 465/SSL

I have tried MANY solutions I found on the web as well as from MS support pages with no success. Basically they all boiled down to what I was doing anyway. I also tried creating a new profile and then adding the account, but that produced the same issues.

Any ideas????
