CRITICAL DATA LOSS - TENANT DISCONNECT REGARDING TENANT LIFECYCLE PROVISIONING ERROR.
Being a medical nonprofit helping children with cancer, it is vital that we regain access to our one drive files.
On June 15, Microsoft stopped the free 365 business premium licenses. We purchased and assigned new commercial licenses (365 business basic) on June 16 and were told that our one drive files would sync up if we were patient. On June 29 we upgraded licenses to 365 business standard to see if that would help us get access to our files. In addiition I was calling almost every day and put in a total of 5 service tickets (6 if you count the one I put in today).
We kept being told that so many nonprofits were having the same issue and that someone was working on our behalf and to please be patient because files are kept for 93 days.
On Tues of this week, we were told that our data is irretrievable because it's outside of some 14 day arbitrary time period that no one has ever heard of. Even the supervisor I was talking to admitted that.
The 14 day backup restoration window does not apply here because the data was never deleted by an admin; it is an active unlicensed-to-licensed tenant swith mismatch. The site collection containers are locked in the backend database. You must escalate this to the Sharepoint Operations group to manually clear the stale subscription flags.
OUR TENANT IS WITHIN THE 90 DAY TO 120 DAY DISABLED/RETENTION WINDOW following the June 15 nonprofit license termination.
Can anyone help? Microsoft is not doing anything to help us. TIA
