I have an audio issue that started yesterday. I have checked all the settings, permissions and updated drivers, but participants cannot hear me when I host a meeting. However, when I am a participant, there is nothing wrong with the audio. I can hear them and they can hear me. Please help

    Hi Annie,

I understand how frustrating this issue must be, especially when the microphone works normally while you are attending a meeting but stops working when you are the meeting host.

Since you have already tried all the suggested troubleshooting steps without success, this issue may require further investigation. Please contact Microsoft Support by following these steps:

    • Visit Contact Microsoft Support.
    • Select Show expanded list of products.
    • Select Teams > Get Home support.
    • Type Teams live chat in the search box, then select Get Help > Contact Support.
    • Choose Chat with a support agent in your web browser if the option is available.

    Dear @Annie,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, your microphone works when joining other meetings, but participants cannot hear you when you host a meeting.

To narrow down the issue, could you please confirm:

    1. Does this happen in all meetings you organize or only specific ones?
    2. Are you using the Teams desktop app or Teams web app?
    3. If you create a new test meeting, can participants hear you?
    4. Does the issue occur with a different headset or microphone as well?

Since the issue only occurs when you host a meeting, it may be related to the Teams client or the specific meeting configuration. Please try some suggestions below:Check device settings in Teams

    • Go to Settings > Devices
    • Ensure the correct microphone, speaker, and camera are selected
    • Use Make a test call to verify functionality

Sign out of Teams, completely close the application, then sign back in and test again.

If you are using the Teams desktop app, try hosting the meeting through Teams on the web to determine whether the issue is specific to the desktop client

    On Windows:

    • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone / Camera
    • Ensure access is enabled and Microsoft Teams is allowed

    User's image

For reference My speaker isn't working in Microsoft Teams

If you have tried all the methods above but still cannot resolve the issue, please update more information as my previous questions so I can support you more effectively.

Please understand that the more information you provide, the more helpful I can support.

    Looking forward to your update.
