Copilot Bug?

I use your Copilot A.I. a lot for talking about my video game interests. It's quite helpful (although I do sometimes have to correct it), but, quite often, I hit the daily chat limit. No problem, I just have to wait about 24 hours. However, what really doesn't make sense is when I send like 1 or 2 messages, hours after the specified time, and getting hit with this: User's image

Note that it says: "tomorrow after 5:28 PM", but I actually got the error at about 3:23 PM today. Thus, judging by the error, it looks as if I was locked out for 26 hours, even though it's really only 2 hours. It would be nice if you gave an explanation for this strange behavior!

Also note that this particular thread has been going on for months and months. Thus, there are a lot of messages. Could the behavior actually be it trying to get me to delete this thread and start a new one?

    Hi Renee Giusti,

Thank you for sharing your experience. Based on the behavior you described, the issue does not appear to be directly related to the age of the conversation thread itself.

To help determine whether the issue is tied to a specific conversation or your account session, try starting a new Copilot chat and see if the same limit message appears. If the behavior occurs across multiple conversations, browsers, or devices, it may indicate an account-related or service-side condition rather than a problem with a single chat thread.

Regarding the subscription prompt, if Copilot indicates that the purchase was made through Google Play, it may be worth checking any Google accounts you use to confirm whether an active Copilot subscription is associated with one of them. If you cannot locate an active subscription, Microsoft Support would be best positioned to review the subscription status linked to your account.
