Hi Lorraine-2824,
If you used Microsoft Print to PDF and selected Desktop as the save location, the PDF should normally appear on your Desktop. Since you cannot find it, I would first suggest searching your PC for recently created PDF files:
-Open File Explorer and search for *.pdf.
-Sort the results by Date modified and look for files created around the time you printed the document.
-Also check common locations such as:
- C:\Users<username>\Desktop
- C:\Users<username>\OneDrive\Desktop (if Desktop sync is enabled with OneDrive)
- Downloads
If the file still cannot be found, try printing to PDF again and pay close attention to the Save Print Output As dialog to confirm the exact file name and save location. It's also worth checking whether any error messages appear during the save process.
Could you let me know:
- Which version of Windows you're using?
- Whether your Desktop is being synced with OneDrive?
- Does this happen with all documents or only a specific file?
With that information, I can suggest some additional troubleshooting steps.
