Wifi fails whenever my laptop is unplugged

I have a MSI Thin15 B12UC and and currently living on university campus and don't have access to the router or an ethernet cable, (also pretty sure the ethernet doesn't work here)
Currently, whenever my laptop is charging, the wifi becomes very unstable and disconnects every ~2 mins. I have already changed the power management settings, network adapter settings, and my power plan settings to all be maximum performance when my laptop is plugged in, I have also tried to troubleshoot and update my drivers and install all the windows updates but so far nothing has fixed it. I am stuck please help

    What method are you using to connect the external monitor, are you casting wirelessly to the monitor or a direct connection with a HDMI cable?

    If you are connecting directly with a cable, that really should not cause a problem with WiFi, unless there is a driver incompatibility, go to the support page for your system on the MSI website to download and reinstall (not update) the version of graphics drivers they provide.

    Click your Start Button, type cmd and choose Command Prompt

    Run this command and hit Enter:

    ipconfig /flushdns

    Run this command and hit Enter:

    ipconfig /registerdns

    Run this command and hit Enter:

    netsh winsock reset

    Run this command and hit Enter:

    netsh int ip reset

    Close Command Prompt

    Open the Settings App

    Go to Network and Internet

    Click the Network Reset button

    Wait for your PC to automatically restart after 5 minutes, do not manually restart your PC.
