My active personal Microsoft account ending in @live.com has a deactivated Teams Free consumer profile. The iPhone app says, “This account has been deactivated due to inactivity or suspension.” Teams desktop and web refuse sign-in, while other accounts work on the same PC. Please reactivate or reprovision the Teams Free consumer profile. This is not a work or school account.

    Hi Jacob Wolf,

I understand that your personal Microsoft account remains active, but your Teams Free profile shows the message "This account has been deactivated due to inactivity or suspension" when you try to sign in.

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot access account records or reactivate a Teams Free consumer profile.

Because the issue affects Teams Free and not the Microsoft account itself, the next step is to contact Microsoft Teams Free Support and provide the exact message along with confirmation that the account cannot access Teams on any platform. Please use the "Contact support" option at the end of the Microsoft Teams Free help page and provide the exact message, explaining that the Microsoft account remains active, but its Teams Free consumer profile is unavailable across all platforms. Support can review the account-specific status and advise whether the profile can be restored.

For your privacy and security, please do not post your full email address or any other account details in this public thread.

I hope the support team can review the Teams Free profile status and advise on the available recovery options.
