Close old Azure account

Hello,

I found an old Azure account I opened years ago to discover Azure. I didn't used it for years.

I want to ensure to get this account deleted. It seems not to work : I can't open any support case in Azure, for instance, and the directory displayed is the tenant id instead of "Default Directory"; I wonder if it was disabled by Azure. I was planing to close the related Microsoft Account (old as well and no more used).

What actions should I plan, which order, to ensure the old Azure account and the MS account are properly closed?

You should be able to open a support case from any tenant. As long as you can confirm the details for the tenant you want deleted, support should be able to take the action for you. It might take some time though as it has to flow through multiple teams.
