The second screenshot you shared, showing the purchase confirmation, contains many red flags. It does not appear to come from a legitimate Microsoft source and seems to have been issued by a third-party seller.

The wording and formatting are unprofessional, including the lack of proper capitalization and inaccurate product naming.

As of 2025, Microsoft no longer uses “Office 365” as the consumer product name. The subscription service is called Microsoft 365, and it is not sold as a lifetime license.

A genuine one-time purchase would normally be named something like Office Home 2024, not Microsoft 365 or Office 365.

The temporary password instruction is another red flag.

Based on the information shown, I am concerned that the license you purchased may be unauthorized, counterfeit, or otherwise not legitimate. Sorry.

Since it wasn't purchased from Microsoft, I am afraid you would have to dispute this with the seller.
