Welcome Emily Cartisano,
I understand how frustrating it can be when your new Windows 11 Acer PC is stuck on the Phone Link "Update required" page even though it reports that the app is already up to date.
To better understand your situation:
- If you open Phone Link and go to Settings > About, what Phone Link version is currently installed?
In the meantime, you can try these steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
Option 1: Check for Microsoft Store app updates
- Open Microsoft Store
- Select Library
- Click Get updates
- Install any updates available for Phone Link
Option 2: Repair the Phone Link app
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps
- Find Phone Link
- Select Advanced options
- Choose Repair
Option 3: Reset the Phone Link app
- Return to Advanced options
- Select Reset
- Restart the PC
Option 4: Verify the Phone Link version
- Open Phone Link
- Go to Settings > About
- Check the version number
- Ensure it is version 1.23112.85.0 or later, as Microsoft states older versions can trigger the "Update Required" page even when no update appears available.
