How to stop Outlook from sending me notifications

Outlook has started sending me notifications every time I receive a new email. How do I turn them off?

Hi, @Roger Blair

You can turn them off in the new Outlook:

  • Open Outlook and click the Settings gear.
  • Go to General > Notifications.
  • Under Mail, turn off notifications for new messages, sounds, or both.

If notifications still appear, open Windows Settings > System > Notifications, find Outlook (new), and turn it off there.

Do you want to stop all Outlook notifications, or only the pop-up banners and sounds?
