Hi SM-4342,
Thank you for providing the detailed troubleshooting information and for confirming that Read Aloud works correctly in Guest mode and in profiles that are not signed in to your Microsoft account.
Based on the information shared, this does not appear to be a general Windows audio issue or a Microsoft Edge installation problem. Since the feature works in other Edge profiles but fails when you are signed in, the issue may be related to the affected Edge profile, synchronized account data, or the Read Aloud service associated with that profile.
Before contacting Microsoft Support, you may also consider testing in a new Windows user account. If the same behavior occurs after signing into Edge with the affected Microsoft account, this will help confirm that the issue is not limited to the current Windows user profile and may instead be related to the Edge profile, synced data or an account-related service issue:
To obtain further assistance and determine whether there is an ongoing issue affecting the Read Aloud feature or account-related services, I recommend contacting Microsoft Support directly:
Kindly note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors do not have access to Microsoft's internal systems, Edge synchronization data, service health information or backend logs. As a result, Microsoft Support may be better positioned to investigate whether there is a known issue affecting Read Aloud, review account-related data, check for any service-side problems and advise on any available workarounds or next steps.
I understand how important this feature can be, especially since it was working previously and I hope the support team can provide more insight and help resolve the issue.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards.
