I applied for Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub Tier 2 verification and was denied. I understand there is no formal reapplication process, but I want to know whether a reconsideration is possible for solo founders whose profile doesn't match the standard verification signals.

My situation: I am the sole founder and operator of WendScope Labs, a research studio building interpretive AI tools for computational architectural analysis. I am a full-time undergraduate at UC Riverside. Background is architectural technology and environmental design. The company is a sole proprietor DBA with an EIN. No team, no VC, no accelerator affiliation, no revenue yet. Under the standard Tier 2 signals, I understand why the initial denial happened.

However, I am actively building on Azure. Azure AI Foundry has been my primary deployment platform since spring 2026. I have 13 models deployed on my Foundry resource. My primary product, Basilica, was just submitted to the Global AI Hackathon Series with Qwen Cloud and runs on Qwen 3.7-Max in production. Azure is central to how I develop.

My Tier 1 credit balance expires on August 1, 2026. Without expanded credits, I will need to migrate off Foundry — not by choice, but by financial necessity. I would prefer to continue building on Azure.

My question:

Is there a reconsideration path for Founders Hub Tier 2 that accounts for solo founders in research-oriented early-stage work who don't clear the standard investor or revenue thresholds? If so, what is the process — email, ticket, portal submission, or other?

If reconsideration is not available, is there guidance on what additional signal would strengthen a future re-verification attempt?

These signals can strengthen a future application even without VC funding or accelerator participation.
