I've just spent an hour with a Microsoft associate. So now I am here. In windows 11 on desktop and windows 10 on laptop. What do I do to get the Notes to show up on the right side for me to read (NOT audience) when I present the program? The program is tomorrow 7/22, I was practicing today. Please send me a link to the answer. Thank you. PS- Tag won't select.

Good day Carla,

I understand that you want to view your speaker notes on the right side of your screen while presenting in PowerPoint on Windows 10 or 11, without the audience being able to see them.

Please try the steps below:

  1. Connect the computer to the projector or second display.
  2. Press Windows key + P, then choose Extend rather than Duplicate.
  3. Open the presentation in the desktop PowerPoint app.
  4. Select the Slide Show tab and make sure Use Presenter View is checked.
  5. Select From Beginning to start presenting. Your notes should appear on the right side on your own screen, while the projector shows only the slide.
  6. If the two views appear on the wrong screens, select Display Settings at the top of Presenter View, then Swap Presenter View and Slide Show.

For practice with only one screen, start the slide show, select the three-dot More options button at the lower-left, and choose Show Presenter View.

Here is the official illustrated guide: Start the presentation and see your notes in Presenter View

Hope this helps. Please let me know how it goes!
