Passed AZ-400 exam but certification/credential is not showing in Microsoft Learn profile

Hi Team,

I successfully passed the AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions exam and have received my score report confirming that I passed the exam.

However, I have not yet received the certification/credential, and it is not reflecting in my Microsoft Learn profile.

Could you please confirm whether there are any additional requirements I need to complete to receive the certification, or if there is a delay in updating my profile?

Congratulations on passing AZ-400! If the exam result is showing as passed but the certification is not appearing, it may just be a delay while Microsoft processes and syncs the credential to your Learn profile. Make sure your Microsoft Certification profile is linked to the same personal account used for the exam. If it still doesn't appear after some time, Microsoft Credentials Support can check the record.

Thank you for your response. I completed and passed the AZ-400 exam on 10 July 2026, and it has been 11 days since the exam. My Microsoft Learn/Certification profile is already linked to the same personal Microsoft account used for the exam.

I can see my passed exam result and score report, but the expected credential/certification is still not reflected in my Microsoft Learn profile.

Could you please advise how I can contact Microsoft Credentials Support to have my certification record checked, or help escalate this issue to the appropriate support team?

Hi,

Do you have Active Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Active Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) certification? At least one of these is required in addition to passing AZ-400 exam in order to earn DevOps Engineer Expert certification.

Since Azure Developer Associate is retiring at the end of this month I would suggest you pass AZ-104 exam. Once you pass it both certifications will show up.

Thank you for the clarification. I did have the Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification, but it has expired.

AZ-400 by itself does not award the certification.

To earn Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, passing AZ-400 is only part of the requirement. An active prerequisite certification is also required:

AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate, or
AZ-204: Azure Developer Associate

If neither prerequisite is active on the profile, AZ-400 can appear as a passed exam, but the certification/credential will not appear yet.

Also, for most exams, results are available within minutes, but it can take up to 24 hours for results to appear in the Learn profile’s Certifications tab.

Recommended checks:

In the Learn profile, confirm the correct sign-in account is being used.
Check whether AZ-104 or AZ-204 is already earned and active.
Allow up to 24 hours for the profile to update after the exam result.
If the prerequisite is already active and the credential still does not appear after that, contact Microsoft Credentials Support.

If AZ-104 or AZ-204 has not yet been earned, complete one of those requirements and the certification should then appear on the profile.
