    Hi James Brasier

If your account is work account, it is managed by your organization's IT department. Microsoft doesn't have direct access to reset authentication settings for organization-managed accounts. You can contact your organization's IT administrator and request a reset of your MFA settings by following this article: Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID | Microsoft Learn

I hope this information helps and if you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.

    Try these checks in order:

    1. Open Microsoft Authenticator manually and make sure the app is unlocked. If the app is locked, the approval or number-entry prompt might not appear.
    2. Check that notifications are enabled for Microsoft Authenticator and not set to silent. Also check text messages in case a code arrived silently.
    3. Confirm the phone has internet access. If needed, switch between Wi‑Fi and mobile data and try again.
    4. Make sure the phone date and time are correct.
    5. Update Microsoft Authenticator to the latest version.
    6. If the sign-in screen shows a number to match, open the Authenticator app directly and look for the number match request inside the app.
    7. If repeated sign-in attempts were made, wait and try again later or use a different MFA method if one is available. Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication can temporarily block additional attempts after unusual or repeated sign-ins.
    8. If another verification method was previously added, select Sign in another way or a different verification option and complete sign-in with that method.
    9. If the work phone or account was recently changed and the old Authenticator registration is no longer valid, contact the work or school IT administrator to help with the authentication method.

If the issue is specifically that no push prompt appears on Android, make sure push notifications are enabled in device Settings. If the app still cannot add or use the work account, the work or school IT admin may need to assist.
