PC keeps uninstalling OneNote during reboot

Hello, I've installed OneNote on my Windows 11 work pc from the Microsoft store via link:

It is my understanding that this is a free version for all users. However, it gets uninstalled every time I reboot, forcing me to reinstall. I've verified this 3 times. I find the msinstaller event documenting this in the event viewer, but I don't see any hint as to why it's happening. I don't have any other Microsoft Office apps installed on this pc. How can I prevent this from happening?

Thank you for explaining the issue. Since OneNote is being removed after every restart, I’d first like to confirm whether this is an installation problem or whether the computer is applying an organization policy at startup.

Please clarify the following so we can narrow down the cause:

Is this computer owned or managed by your employer, or is it your personal computer used for work?
Are you signing in to Windows and OneNote with a personal Microsoft account or a work/school account?
Do you normally need administrator approval or credentials to install software?

I look forward to your response so we could determine what to do next!

Thanks for your response. My answers are:

Owned by employer, but I'm unsure if it could be related. I do know there is a plan to move the company off Office 2016. I recently received this pc and it did not come with any version of Office installed. I still also have my prior work laptop which has Office 2016 installed, but it is not affected by reboot.

Thank you for the update.
You mentioned that your device is managed/owned by your employer, could it be that it also joined a company/business domain? If that the case, then your device could be under a policy that may allowed the OneNote app to be download but upon every boot, the device will go back to its designed state. Please reach out to your IT/administrator to verify this first.

In case it is not joined any domain, please try to create a new user by following the step here and then download the OneNote app again then login to your personal account then reboot your PC to see if the issue still persists.

If that also not working, please do use the OneNote on the web as a temporary workaround at the moment.
