I'm facing an issue with users list amount reported in viva engage community and entra dynamic users group, as you can see, viva engage is showing 102 users

as you can see, dynamic rule status is running without issues.

I ran m365 command to verify users amount in viva and entra and both of them have the same 64 users, which means, imo the problem is between what viva engage has as registered users and the amount it's showing on viva web UI.

Somebody know how can I "force" viva to refresh users showing on web UI?

    Hi,

Based on the information shared, the dynamic Microsoft 365 group appears to be functioning correctly:

The Entra ID dynamic membership rule is processing successfully.

The Microsoft 365 group currently contains 64 members.

Your M365 CLI validation also returns 64 members.

Viva Engage membership queried through M365 CLI likewise returns 64 members.

This suggests that the actual membership data is synchronized correctly and that the discrepancy is limited to the member count displayed in the Viva Engage web interface, which is showing 102 members.

Microsoft documentation notes that updates to community membership can take time to replicate across services and that member counts in Viva Engage may not always immediately reflect the current membership state. Additionally, member counts can be inaccurate for a period due to user lifecycle and synchronization processes.

For Viva Engage communities connected to Microsoft 365 Groups, membership is managed through the underlying Microsoft 365 group, including dynamic groups managed through Microsoft Entra ID. Membership changes in Entra ID are synchronized to the associated Viva Engage community.

At this time, there is no supported administrative action to manually force a Viva Engage community member count refresh or recalculate the displayed count.

For more information, please refer to the following link:

As a next step, I recommend you try:

    1. Continue using Entra ID / Microsoft 365 Group membership as the authoritative source.
    2. Allow additional time for backend synchronization and cache refresh.
    3. Verify the actual member list within the community rather than relying solely on the displayed count.

However, I strongly recommend submitting your feedback through the Microsoft 365 Feedback Hub .This is the most effective way to ensure your voice reaches the product team and can be considered for future improvements.   User's image
