I have been using OneNote for multiple years on Windows 11 for school on both my laptop and desktop without issue until the last couple of weeks. Now I can hardly open it, insert a printout, or highlight/write without it freezing and/or crashing. As of today, it's now crashing within 30 seconds of opening. I have tried repairing, resetting, clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, and disabling the pen/ink settings, and nothing is working. Does anyone have any suggestions? I need this for school, and have reached my wits' end.

It sounds like you've already tried the common troubleshooting steps. If OneNote started crashing only recently, check whether a recent Windows or Microsoft 365 update coincided with the issue. Try opening OneNote in Safe Mode (Win + Ronenote.exe /safe) to rule out add-ins or startup issues. Also, ensure your graphics driver is up to date, as hardware acceleration or outdated drivers can sometimes cause freezing. If the issue persists, try using OneNote on the web to access your notes temporarily and report the problem through the Feedback Hub or contact Microsoft Support, as this may be a recent bug affecting the desktop app.
