To verify if your hardware change falls within permissible limits, press the Windows key and run the command ms-settings:activation to open the exact system menu required. From this interface, launch the Activation Troubleshooter and explicitly declare that you changed hardware on this device recently. If your modification was limited to peripheral components like the storage drive or RAM, Microsoft's activation servers will authenticate your Microsoft account and revalidate the digital license.
If the motherboard itself was replaced, the troubleshooter will definitively reject the activation request due to the strict OEM hardware binding policies. In that scenario, bypassing the system is not legally or technically supported, and you must acquire a new Windows 10 Pro Retail license. Applying a valid retail product key within that same ms-settings:activation menu is the only authorized method to restore your operating system to a fully activated state.
