Training: Instruction to develop new skills.
Since cache, private mode, different browsers, and a different network were already tried, focus on account and directory checks.
- Verify the account type used for sign-in. Azure for Students commonly requires the correct school/work account context. If a personal Microsoft account is being used where a school/work account is expected, sign-in can loop or return to the sign-in page.
- Check whether the correct Azure directory is selected. In the Azure portal, select the account at the top-right corner and confirm the correct directory. A wrong directory can cause sign-in to succeed but show access problems such as No subscriptions found.
- If the student account is tied to an existing Microsoft account, add the university email as a sign-in alias.
Use this path:
- Go to the Microsoft account sign-in page.
- Select Your info.
- Select Manage how you sign in to Microsoft.
- Verify identity.
- Select Add email and add the university email address. After that, sign in again using the university email.
- If the browser keeps returning to the sign-in page, check browser sign-in issues in Edge.
- Open
edge://settings/privacyand clear:- Cookies and other site data
- Cached images and files Set the range to All time, then restart Edge.
- Open
edge://settings/profilesand review profiles. If multiple personal and work/school profiles exist, sign out of the conflicting profile and try again. - Open
edge://policyand check BrowserSignin. If it is set to 0, browser sign-in is disabled and an IT administrator must change the policy.
- Open
- Verify the account can sign in outside Azure.
- For a personal Microsoft account, try signing in at
https://account.microsoft.com. - For a work or school account, try signing in at
https://myaccount.microsoft.com. If sign-in fails there too, the issue is with the account itself. For work or school accounts, the IT administrator may need to reset or unlock the account.
- For a personal Microsoft account, try signing in at
- If the account signs in successfully but Azure still shows no access, the account may need subscription permissions. Have the account added as an Owner on the subscription if the correct directory is already selected.
- If the problem is specifically a redirect loop on Microsoft support-style sign-in pages, make sure these sites are not inconsistently placed in the browser's trusted sites list:
-
microsoft.com -
support.microsoft.com -
login.live.com -
login.microsoftonline.comIf organizational policy requires one of them in Trusted Sites, all of them should be there.
-
- If none of the above works and Azure portal sign-in is still blocked, create a support request using the public support flow.
