There are a couple of on-going problems with the Office apps on an Apple Mac at the moment caused by the July 13 update.

At the top left of your Desktop, click the Apple icon and select 'About this Mac', what version of MacOS is installed on your computer?

You seem to be affected by the July 13 update, but your MacOS version id correct for the Microsoft 365 apps.

The best option is to completely uninstall the Office apps from your Mac, then follow the steps at this link to remove the Office license.

Then, restart your Mac and sign in to your Microsoft account online ( https://account.microsoft.com/services/ ) to reinstall the Office apps.
