A Microsoft desktop and app virtualization service that runs on Azure. Previously known as Windows Virtual Desktop.
For Applied Skills assessment issues where the lab or VM does not load correctly and the attempt is still counted, the supported path is to contact Credentials Support and report the issue with full details.
Include these details in the support request:
- The assessment name: Develop a generative AI chat app by using the Microsoft Foundry SDK.
- A detailed description of the problem: the VM opened to a black screen with a loading bar and never reached the Windows desktop.
- Reproduction details: selecting Open Virtual Machine in new window, refreshing the VM, and reopening it, with the same result across all three attempts.
- Any error messages, if shown.
- Screenshots, if available.
Relevant assessment policy states that a cancelled lab or a lab that ends abruptly is still scored and counts as an attempt, and a retake is available 72 hours after the last attempt.
If the issue is still reproducible in the assessment experience, use the Report an issue link on the unit page where the problem occurs and include the same details.
