Windows 10 H22 KB5099539 update fails - Error code 0x8007000d

Hi

I get an error when I try to install the latest monthly update for Windows 10H22 (KB5099359). I have tried several times and restarted the PC, but I get the same error (0x8007000d) every time. My operative system build is: 19045.7417.

Is there a way to fix this?

I can see here that your device is having an issue with installing Windows updates.

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Windows Update Troubleshooter

Windows 10

Please Click Start menu and choose Settings

Hit Update and Security then Troubleshoot

Choose Additional troubleshooters

And select Windows Update

Finally, Run the troubleshooter

  1. Reset Windows update components:

Please click start menu and type cmd, right click on it and choose run with admin

Kindly type the command lines below and hit enter:

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

Please try to update again. If the issue persists, I will suggest you to perform in place upgrade or run a repair. In place upgrade will install the new features or available updates for Windows it will also fix corrupted system files. Kindly check the steps below:

Note: Please disable 3rd party anti virus

Under Create Windows 10 Installation Media

Click Download Tool Now

Click on Run

Allow the User account Control

Read the License Terms and hit Accept if you agree

Choose Upgrade this PC now and hit Next

Please make sure that it shows keep files and apps and hit Next

This may take sometime depends on your connection or the performance of your device.
