Using the New Outlook for Mac for personal email and calendar
Hi JT,
I understand that images stopped displaying in both messages and signatures immediately after the update, while the same content works correctly in Legacy Outlook for Mac and remains visible to recipients. This strongly suggests a display-related issue within New Outlook for Mac rather than a problem with the image files or mailbox.
Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot directly escalate cases to the Outlook product team. For now, continue using Legacy Outlook as a temporary workaround, then report the issue through Help > Contact Support in New Outlook. Include:
- The full Outlook version and build from Outlook > About Outlook
- The macOS version
- Screenshots or a screen recording
- Confirmation that Legacy Outlook displays the same images correctly
- Confirmation that recipients can see the images after sending
These details will allow Outlook Support to collect diagnostic information and forward the case for product-level investigation. You can also submit the same information through Help > Give Feedback.
A similar Q&A report involving blank image placeholders after a recent update was posted recently. You can also monitor the Outlook for Mac recent issues page for updates.
I hope the temporary workaround keeps email composition usable while the report is reviewed.
