Hello

I'm hoping someone here can help. I have set up a community within Viva Engage to communicate with staff across various areas of business. Some, cannot gain access in any way. I have sent links and invites, however, these do not work. Does anyone have any experience with this please?

    Hello @Anonymous

I would like to first clarify that this is a user‑to‑user support forum. Moderators here are not Microsoft Support, so we don’t have backend access or the ability to perform escalations. However, we’re happy to help with troubleshooting guidance and best‑practice recommendations.

Based on your description, I suppose the affected users are people outside your organization. If that's correct, it's important to confirm that they have been added as guest users and have successfully redeemed their invitations.

According to Collaborate with guests in an Engage community, collaboration with external participants in Viva Engage communities relies on Microsoft Entra B2B guest identities. Guests must be invited and properly configured before they can access community content.

Could you let us know what happens when the affected users open the invitation link?

    • Do they receive an error message?
    • Are they prompted to sign in but unable to continue?
    • Have they already accepted/redeemed the guest invitation?

If possible, please share a screenshot of the error (with any personal information removed), as that may help me better understand what's preventing access.

    Looking forward to your update.
