Dear Kirk,

Good day, and thank you for reaching out to the Q&A Forum.

I understand that you are looking to create and edit reminders on emails in New Outlook. In New Outlook, the workflow is slightly different from Classic Outlook, since email reminders now go through either Flag + To Do or the Snooze feature. Here are the two most reliable options:

Option 1: Flag the email and set a reminder in To Do

  1. In your inbox, click the flag icon on the email (or right-click > Flag > Add reminder).
  2. On the left navigation bar, click To Do.
  3. You can find the flagged email in the Flagged emails list.
  4. Click on it, and in the task pane on the right, you can choose the date and time you want to be reminded here also.
  5. To remove the reminder later, open the same task pane and clear the reminder, or unflag the email in your inbox.

Option 2: Snooze the email

If you simply want the email to disappear from the inbox and reappear later as a reminder:

  1. In your inbox, right-click the email.
  2. Select Snooze.
  3. Choose a preset time (e.g., Later today, Tomorrow, Next week) or pick a custom date and time.
  4. The email will move to the Snoozed folder and return to your inbox at the scheduled time.
