Verifying account issue

Greetings,

I had recently gathered enough available points to receive a reward gift card. However, as I tried to redeem the card, I was notified by a 'Verify your account' message on the screen. It had asked me to 'make sure you're a person' and provided me with two options: to verify with the Bing app or verifying with my phone. Unfortunately, my iPhone falls under the older versions, so I was not able to download the app (since it requires a newer version of the iPhone) to verify my account from there. I then attempted to verify my account via SMS messages, though I was not able to as it said, 'Phone verification is currently not available'. This event left me mildly disappointed.

Please do analyse my issue and provide me with any recommendations, as I have been looking forward to getting the reward gift card for several weeks.

Kindly try to perform the following workarounds for the SMS verification option:

  1. Sign out of your account, restart your device, then try signing in again.
  2. Clear the cache of your Bing app/browser.
  3. Disconnect from the VPN or Proxy server.
  4. Use different devices and network services.

If the issue persists, please use a different updated mobile device to use the "Verify with the Bing app" option. You will need a QR scanner and the Bing app on your phone.

Once you have them, please redeem your rewards by following the instructions under "Verify with the Bing app" > Scan the QR code to open the Bing app and proceed with the verification > Sign in to the Bing app on your phone and provide the 6-character codes from your Microsoft Rewards redeem page. > Once it's done, your redemption will be verified.

Kindly wait a few minutes to 24 hours for your order confirmation via email.
