Hello,

For a few days now I have been experiencing an issue with the “Make Available Offline” function for folders/files in the OneDrive app on iOS (iPad mini 6).

An update on the ipad has been applied, and the files will start to download, then it will stop and the files nearly all say error code 100 on my files side and offline side

  • Permissions have been checked (everything is allowed).
  • Switched between Wi-Fi and 4G connections.
  • Sufficient storage space available on the device.
  • No data or power saving mode activated.
  • Changed options within the OneDrive app.
  • iPad restarted.
  • The app was completely uninstalled and reinstalled.

I've tried several times to resolve this, but there is no change.

Do you have any information on this issue on your side?

How can it be resolved, or could it be a problem related to the latest IOS update or an app update?

Thank you.

    Hello Laurie

Thank you for listing the troubleshooting already completed. Since the problem continues after changing networks, checking storage and permissions, restarting the iPad, and reinstalling OneDrive, repeating those steps is unlikely to help.

You can try resetting the account within OneDrive under Profile > Settings > Account > Reset, then test Make Available Offline with one small file. This reset is separate from reinstalling the app.

If the error remains, the next practical step is to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance:

    1. Open a website link - Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the box below "We're here to help", type Microsoft 365, click "Get Help", and then click "Contact Support" below.
    3. In this section, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account.
    4. Select "Microsoft 365 and Office" under Products & Services, select "Technical Support" as the category, and click to confirm
    5. You can select " Chat with a support agent in your web browser " to access the chat window.

For better support, you can share this information when talking to Microsoft Support:

    • The exact OneDrive app and iPadOS versions
    • A screenshot of error code 100
    • Whether individual files fail as well as folders
    • Whether the files are owned by you or located in a shared folder

As a temporary workaround, try downloading urgently needed files individually through OneDrive on the web and saving them locally in the iPad Files app. This will not restore the folder-level offline function, but it may provide local access while the app issue is being investigated.

I hope you can get the support you need.

    Have a nice day.
