Networks display "No Internet, Secured" on Windows 10 despite internet working for things like browsers

My PC will connect to networks, but display "No internet, Secured." Despite this, I can still access the internet using the networks, albeit slowly; my browsers, as well as Steam and Discord all work in this state, just significantly slower than other, weaker devices on the network. In addition, some services such as signing in to Microsoft Word will not recognise that limited access and won't let me sign in. I have tested my home wifi and the hotspot from my phone, and it is the exact same result for both of them. No other device on these networks is experiencing a problem, Windows or otherwise.

I have done lots of troubleshooting already. I have properly reset the router. I have tried plugging in to the network via ethernet. I have tried re-installing the drivers for my wifi network card. I have ran the network troubleshooter, and restarted the network services as it suggested. I have installed no VPNs or other 3rd party software recently that would cause this issue. I even had to fully reset my computer & reinstall windows for a separate issue, and that didn't fix it.

I have also done everything found in this thread, including the advice listed in the threads linked in the question, but none of it has worked.

Please can someone help me with this

    Do you have, or have you ever had, a third-party antivirus or firewall installed on your PC?

    Please share a screenshot of the network adapters in the Control Panel.

    • Press "Windows + R", type ncpa.cpl and press Enter.

    A window will open with the network adapters installed on the system. Send a screenshot of this window.

    Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

    Maximize the window and use the screenshot tool.

    Hi Francis Hirst,

    Since the issue occurs on multiple networks and even after reinstalling Windows, it may be related to how Windows is detecting internet connectivity rather than the network connection itself. The fact that browsers work while some Microsoft services cannot sign in is a useful clue.

    As a next step, please check whether a proxy setting is enabled:

    1. Open Settings > Network & Internet > Proxy.
    2. Turn off Manual proxy setup if it is enabled.
    3. Restart the PC and test the connection again.

    You can also test with a new local Windows user account to determine whether the issue is limited to the current user profile.

    If the problem continues, please share more information as suggested by the Independent Advisor that may help identify what is affecting network status detection on the device.
