How do I do speech to text on a word document? I have a microphone, not sure if its available on my word app

    If you are using your Android device, please make sure that you are signed in to your Microsoft Account and that the Word app is not in Read Only mode.

    Tap anywhere in your document to bring up the keyboard and toolbar, then find the microphone (Dictate) icon — it's typically located on the right-hand side of the screen alongside the other toolbar options.

    If this is your first time using it, Word will prompt you to allow microphone access — go ahead and approve it.

    Once the mic starts pulsing, that means it's actively listening — begin speaking, and your words will appear on the page as text.
