Azure Sql server Private DNS resolving Public IP in the place of Private IP

Hi Team,

I have Hub & spoke architecture. in Hub we have azure private resolver with forwarding rule set & Inbound and outbound endpoint configured. I have deployed Azure Private DNS Zone(database.windows.net) & linked with all Hub & spoke Vnets. & also I have deployed Azure sql server with Private endpoint and attached with HUb Private DNS Zone. As per client in onprem DNS forwarder for database does not exist. How to handle & resolve this issue .The complete deployment done using terraform.is their any option available with creating on Prem dns forwarder for database.

Can some one pls suggest

Hi Satish,

The typical way to handle this is to have DNS server(s) on premises with conditional forwarding to your Azure DNS Private Resolver. These DNS servers could run on VMs, or part of on-prem firewall device or similar.
