Does using Azure through my employer affect my eligibility for a personal Azure Free Account?

Using Azure through your employer does not, by itself, make you ineligible for an Azure Free Account. When you sign in with a work or school Microsoft Entra account, you are using your organization's Azure subscription, not your own personal Azure account. Any Azure resources you create or manage under that subscription belong to your employer.

Azure Free Account eligibility is based on whether you are a new Azure customer opening your own Azure account. If you have never previously created and activated a personal Azure account with the Azure Free Account offer, you can generally create a personal Microsoft account later and redeem the offer, provided you meet Microsoft's eligibility requirements and complete the required identity and payment verification.

In other words, using Azure exclusively through your employer's Microsoft Entra tenant and subscription does not count as having already redeemed the Azure Free Account. As long as you have never activated the offer for your own Azure account, you would still be considered a new Azure customer for the purposes of the Azure Free Account.
