Will the July 13 Office 365 certificate change stop my wife running her 365 Family subscription on her Mac's OS Ventura 13.7.8?

My wife shares her Office 365 Family subscription with me. The 13 July certificate change has meant I suddenly cannot run Office including Word and Outlook, through that sharing, on my MacBook Air on Big Sur 11.7.11 because the OS cannot be updated.

I have read the guidance in these Q&A pages and it appears the minimum requirement is now OS Monterey 12. Does that mean she will also be unable to run her 365 subscription on her Mac for which the latest updated OS version is Ventura 13.7.8 and how soon will that happen?

I would also welcome suggestions for solutions, short of repalcing our machines. Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for checking in. Here's the full picture.

On Ventura support: It's no longer supported because Microsoft only supports the last 3 versions. The final version that supported Ventura was 16.101.

On the certificate issue: That was specific to versions before 16.83, so it's already resolved in current builds and isn't something you need to worry about going forward as of now.

Why on EARTH was that not communicated in the multiple emails leading up to this!? I am running OS 13 and should have been fine according to Microsofts direct email communication.

Wouldn't have raised it but - another example of Microsoft's useless communications - after trying to get out of sharing my wife's 365 Family subscription to get back in (assuming my Office apps breakdown was a glitch) including downloading all the software which then failed to install I much later found athe installer telling me it required an OS14 or newer to work - despite all the help crap from Microsoft saying OS Monterey 12 was now the minimum. (I'm cut out because I'm on OS 11 Big Sur). Total time-wasting chaos.
