reactivating skype credit impossible as updating billing address just keeps giving an error message

I am trying to reactivate my Skype credit. Having logged into MS Teams, it shows me the old credit and that I can reactivate. But when I try to do it, it says my billing address isn't there. Once I fill it out, I just get error messages. Has anyone else experienced this? How do you get around it? I've been trying on different browsers but it all just keeps giving me the same error message each time.

*I've had to tag this to Skype for Business as there's no option for the non-business one.

    Dear Jo,

Good day, and thank you for reaching out to the Q&A Forum. I understand that you are having trouble reactivating your Skype Credit, Microsoft shows that your old Skype Credit is available to reactivate, but the billing page prevents you from completing the process. Since you have already tried multiple browsers, this may be an account-side billing profile issue rather than a browser problem. As a forum moderator, I genuinely wish I could directly access your account or delve into the backend systems to diagnose and fix this for you. Unfortunately, my role here is limited to providing general guidance and solutions for you to implement on your side. A few questions first:

    1. What is the exact error message shown after you save the billing address?
    2. Are you using Microsoft Teams Free and signing in with the same personal Microsoft account previously used for Skype?
    3. Does the country/region in your Microsoft account match the billing address and payment method?
    4. Are there any old or duplicate addresses under your Microsoft account's payment settings?
    5. Does reactivation also fail from the Skype account page (https://secure.skype.com/portal/overview) directly, rather than only through Teams?

If possible, please share a screenshot of the error message you are seeing. (Please remember to mask or obscure any sensitive or personal information, such as your full name, email address, or billing details, before sharing.)

Once I have a clearer picture, I can provide more targeted guidance or direct you to the appropriate support channel.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I look forward to your reply.
