favicon-checker shows we have a favicon.

We have a ton of different sizes and options and also the standard .ico version.

I checked via Curl:

curl -I crmtogether .com

curl -I crmtogether .com /wp-content/

and they are accessible. Everything looks solid on our side but it is still not appearing in search results.

Hi Majella O'Connor,

Please note that this is a public forum, so refrain from sharing direct links as the system may automatically flag and delete your question. We will modify your description to hide such details.

I understand how confusing it feels when the favicon is working and accessible, passes online checkers, but doesn't appear in Bing search results. Based on similar cases, the fact that your favicon is reachable via direct URLs does not automatically mean Bing has crawled, indexed, or refreshed it for search results. A few other things you can verify:

  • Confirm that the favicon URL returns HTTP 200 OK and is not redirected through multiple hops.
  • Ensure /favicon.ico is available from the site root, which Bing commonly checks.
  • Make sure neither robots.txt nor any security/CDN rule blocks Bing from accessing favicon files.
  • Verify that the favicon is explicitly referenced in the page <head> using standard favicon tags.
  • In Bing Webmaster Tools, use URL Inspection and request reindexing after any favicon-related changes.

If you're sure that everything already appears technically correct, this is possibly a Bing Search indexing/display issue rather than a website hosting issue. Unfortunately, Microsoft Q&A is just a user-to-user support forum, and contributors here do not have visibility or control over the indexing or behavior of Bing crawlers to proceed further.

There have been reports from other site owners where the favicon met all published requirements but did not appear until Bing manually reprocessed or refreshed the site's favicon data. So the most useful next step may actually be to contact Bing Webmaster Support directly and request a review of the favicon indexing:

  1. Sign into Webmaster Support - Bing Webmaster Tools
  2. Click Raise support request and wait for the team to connect.

Note: If you have trouble requesting support, a community member has shared a workaround to get past the loop. By submitting a new ticket under the Bing Webmaster Tool Related > Other category and explicitly requesting an engineer in the text, they were able to receive a UCM ticket assigned to a Global Support Webmaster Engineer.

I wish I could provide more direct help here, but such back-end issues cannot be processed on a community platform. I hope your issue will be resolved soon!
