I can't connect to the Minecraft launcher

Try these steps in order:

1. Check date and time sync Go to Settings > Time & Language > Date & time.

   • Plug the router back in and wait a few minutes
   • Try the launcher again

   • Press Windows key + R
   • Run wsreset.exe
   • Wait for the blank command window to close and for Microsoft Store to reopen automatically
6. Check whether the launcher is failing to detect the purchased license If the launcher opens but does not recognize ownership, sign out and back in to refresh license detection in this order:
   • Sign out of Minecraft Launcher
   • Restart the PC
   • Sign in to Microsoft Store first
   • Then sign in to Minecraft Launcher
   • In Microsoft Store, search for Minecraft and confirm it shows Owned or Install

If the launcher still says “You’ll need internet for this” after these steps, the issue is likely with local Windows app sign-in, Store app state, or the Windows user profile rather than the internet connection itself.
