Images in WORD are displaying digitized

I just came back to my computer after 1.5 days. All of a sudden, when I insert images into WORD, they are becoming digitized. This has never happened before.

I need a fix, please. I'm working on a flyer and need the images to display properly, so they print clearly.

OS: Windows 11 Pro / 25H2 26200.8655

To prevent your pictures from being pixelated, choose File>Options>Advanced and scroll down to the Image Size and Quality section. Change the dropdown beside that heading to All New Documents, then check the option Do not compress images in file. Or you can change the Default resolution dropdown to High fidelity, that does the same thing.

@John Korchok Thank you! It seems to be working better now. I've never had to do that. Do you know what caused this so I can watch for it in the future?
