anytime my mic is being used volume is stuck at 100%

so anytime i join a call or play a game my volume is stuck at 100% and im able to move the bar but it just doesn't change the volume ive disabled Exclusive mode changed the communications setting to do nothing but it doesn't help ive had it happen on different devices and i dont know what else to do

May I please know whether you are using any headset or earphones plugged in? Also, do you have any third-party audio management software installed?

We can try reinstalling the audio drivers once and see if it makes any changes to the audio output when the microphone is in use.

  1. Open the Device Manager.
  2. Expand the arrow next to sound, video and game controllers.
  3. Right-click your default audio driver - Realtek (R), select uninstall device, select 'Attempt to delete the driver software for this device check box' and then click Uninstall.
  4. Once uninstalled, restart your computer and test it.
