Need help my ex keeps hacking me

To change a password saved in Microsoft Edge, no phone or email code is required for the website itself, but Edge may ask for the device PIN or OS password to show or edit stored passwords.

To edit a password already saved in Edge:

1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Select Settings and more (three dots in the top-right) > Settings.
3. Go to Profiles > Passwords.
4. Find the site whose password needs to be changed.
5. Next to that entry, select More actions > Edit.
6. When prompted, authenticate to the operating system (for example, enter the device PIN or password).
7. In the Edit password dialog, update the password and select Done.

Alternatively, using Microsoft Password Manager in Edge:

1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Select the three dots > Settings.
3. Select Passwords and autofill > Microsoft Password Manager.
4. Next to the password to change, select the right arrow.
5. Authenticate with the device PIN or password if asked.
6. Select Edit, change the password, then select Save.

Important:

• Changing the password in Edge only updates what Edge has stored. It does not change the actual password on the website or service.
• After editing in Edge, also sign in to the relevant website and use its own Change password or Security settings to set the same new password there.

If the account itself (for example, a Microsoft account) has been hacked and the attacker controls phone/email codes, use the official recovery options:

• Start with the Sign-in Helper if sign-in fails.
• If the password is forgotten, use the Reset password flow and follow the identity verification steps.
• If the account is hacked and recovery methods were changed, follow the guidance in the hacked-account article to attempt recovery or, if recovery fails, request suspension of the compromised account and create a new one.
