How to connect the wifi to the Canon TR-4725 printer; I have tried with the Canon assistant, and I have tried setting up manual on the printer; I have rebooted my laptop - I have tried adding a new printer

I also uninstalled all "Canon," reinstalled and am in the same boat "OFFLINE"

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

If you haven't tried it yet, make sure the printer and the Windows 11 laptop are on the same Wi-Fi network. If your router has both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, try the 2.4 GHz network, as many printers have trouble with 5 GHz-only networks.

On the printer, press and hold the Menu/Wireless connect button for about 3 seconds, then continue the setup from the Canon setup app or Canon’s setup page.

If issue still persists, to help narrow down the issue:

Does the printer show connected to your Wi-Fi, or does it fail before that step?
Are you using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network or a 5 GHz network?
Do you get any error message from the Canon assistant or from Windows when adding the printer?

its bell fibe its 5g prob 6 now, and I don't know it lol - I used the USB cable to connect my wifi - so much for "wireless technology"

The Canon TR-4725 does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi. It needs the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band. Bell Fibe may be using one combined Wi-Fi name for 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and Wi-Fi 6, so the printer may not know how to join it.

The USB cable can let the laptop talk to the printer, but it does not mean the printer is already connected wirelessly to the router.

Please check your Bell router or Bell Wi-Fi app and see if you can create or enable a separate 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi name. Then connect the printer to that 2.4 GHz network using Manual Connect on the printer.

Bell obviously changed something - exactly as you have stated - thank you - I am going to call Bell

This printer had been working just fine until today, when I tried to do a scan and got an offline error no matter what I did

I contacted Bell and they have changed nothing - my wifit works on my laptop and my cell phones with no issues its just my printer - so its canon, I would think - I can only contact them via email - I received a notification they will get back to me.

I had Bell create a separate 2.4ghz network so I could use this stupid printer.

Canon tells me the MANUAL says compatible with 2.4 - why is that not printed on the box in CAPITAL HIGHLIGHTED LETTERS in the ENGLISH LANGUAGE - when was the last time you purchased a printer - but FIRST opened the box to read the MANUAL to see what networks it is compatible with ??? I think I will boycott Canon. I boycotted HP because their printer YEARS AGO wouldn't scan PDF ... unless you purchased ADOBE ACROBAT, which was 300.00 back in the day - but there was a workaround. OMG, PDF is international FREE ... but no HP gets into bed with Adobe ... plus HP had a class action lawsuit regarding their print cartridges owing all $2.00, so then why send to me in Canada, they know I'm in Canada to tell me it's for USA only?

Why this Canon printer worked for months and months to suddenly not work is beyond me.

so without switching to 2.4, this stupid printer is working under my original 5G again - just saying

I think I'm going to boycott Canon too - I have long-time boycotted HP
