Dear Adarsh,
Good day, and thank you for reaching out to the Q&A Forum. I understand that you're having trouble uploading an image in Microsoft Viva Engage. As a forum moderator, I genuinely wish I could look directly into your account or the backend systems to diagnose and fix this for you. Unfortunately, my role here is limited to providing general guidance and steps that you can try on your side.
From your screenshot and my research, this kind of upload failure usually comes down to a few common causes like browser cache issues, file size or dimension limits, network restrictions, or tenant/community storage settings. Please try the following steps to see if any of them help:
- Image size and dimensions
For images stored in Viva Engage cloud storage, the maximum image size is 10 MB and the maximum dimensions are 7,680 × 4,320 pixels. If your image is larger than this, please resize or compress it and try uploading again.
- Rename the file
The file name in your screenshot is quite long, please try renaming it to something short, for example: test-image.png
Then upload it again.
- Try another browser or InPrivate mode
Please test the upload in Microsoft Edge or Chrome using an InPrivate/Incognito window. Also clear your browser cache and cookies, then sign in again.
- Try another community
If the issue only happens in one specific Viva Engage community, please try uploading the same image to a different community or a test post. This helps confirm whether the issue is account-wide or community-specific.
- Check network/security restrictions
If you're on a corporate network, proxy, VPN, or restricted firewall, file uploads can sometimes be blocked. If possible, please test the upload from a different network.
- Try the mobile app
Since the issue occurs on the web version, please try uploading the same image from the Viva Engage mobile app to see if it goes through.

If the issue still persists after these checks, please reach out to your Microsoft 365/Viva Engage administrator. Your administrator can verify whether file uploads are restricted by tenant settings in the Viva Engage admin center. If you don't know who your IT administrator is, please refer to this article: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support
I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know how it goes. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments so I can continue to support you. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I'm looking forward to your reply.
