Number of mails in a folder

In New Outlook for Windows, the classic bottom status bar that displayed the number of emails/items in the currently selected folder is no longer available in the same way as it was in Classic Outlook.

Microsoft's current guidance is to check folder counts by hovering over the folder or right-clicking the folder, where Outlook may display information such as the unread count and total item count.
