I cancelled 20 minutes ago my Classic 365 subscription and clicked to accept the Family 365 invitation, but not accepted (Yet?). Do I have to wait 48 hours after Classic expires to click the invitation to Family 365 or that is another issue? Many thanks in advance (lots of trouble with this).

That is correct, your current Microsoft 365 Classic subscription must completely expire before you can activate a shared Microsoft 365 Family Plan on the same Microsoft account. Microsoft does not allow two Microsoft 365 Home subscriptions to be active on the same Microsoft account, when that expires, you should then be able to accept the shared subscription, if not, ask the person sharing the subscription to cancel the share and re-share the subscription with you.
