How to retreive certificates from my other mail account?

Certifications and their certificates are tied to the Microsoft Learn profile that was used when registering and taking the exams. Access or transfer depends on whether there is still access to the old account and what type of accounts are involved.

1. If the old employer email account is still accessible
   • Sign in to Microsoft Learn using the work account (for example, ******@gds.ey.com).
   • Open the Certifications and transcript pages to view and download your certificates:
     • Certifications: https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/credentials/?tab=credentials-tab
     • Transcript: use the View Transcript option from the Certification Dashboard as described in the documentation.
   • From the Certification Dashboard, certificates can be downloaded and the transcript can be shared or exported as PDF.
2. If the old employer email account is no longer accessible
   • Certifications cannot be directly transferred from a Learn profile that cannot be accessed. It is not possible to recover certifications from a Learn profile when there is no access to the associated email account.
   • Recovery of the underlying Microsoft account (username/password) is fully self-service. Support agents cannot reset passwords or move contents between accounts. Use the Microsoft account self-service help to attempt recovery of the old account if it was a personal Microsoft account:
     • Get help with your Microsoft account
     • My username and password have stopped working
3. If both accounts are accessible and you want all certifications under the new Microsoft email
   When there is access to multiple Learn profiles, certifications and training progress can be migrated using a work/school account as a bridge:
   • Sign in to the work/school Learn profile (Profile B) and link the personal profile (Profile A) that currently holds some certifications. Wait for the confirmation banner that content has migrated.
   • Remove Profile A from the linked accounts list in Profile B; the migrated contents remain.
   • Sign in to the main preferred Learn profile (Profile C, your new Microsoft mail id) and link Profile B. This transfers certifications and training progress from the work profile to the preferred profile.
   • Optionally remove the work/school profile from linked accounts after migration.
     If there is no access to a work/school Learn profile to use as a bridge, this transfer cannot be completed; in that case, continue using the profile that contains the certifications for future exams or manage progress across both profiles.
4. If certifications or certificates appear to be missing
   • Confirm that the correct Learn profile is being used and that the credential requirements are met.
   • If a certificate that should be present is missing or cannot be downloaded, submit a request to Microsoft Credentials Support using the guidance in the credentials support documentation.

For future exams, it is strongly recommended to link a personal email account to the Learn profile so certifications remain accessible after leaving an employer.
