Subscription to 365 Personal Copilot not performing basic task

Microsoft 365 Personal subscription purchased through Apple App Store. Web access works. OneDrive and Word function normally. On both iPhone and iPad, Copilot file-creation requests either hang indefinitely at "Coding and executing" or are handled as ordinary chat responses without creating files. A separate free Copilot experience successfully creates the requested file on the same hardware.
