Hi. I started using the new version of outlook when it released. It displayed perfectly the enveloppe when I received an email. I noticed few weeks ago that it stopped showing me the enveloppe. I checked: The settings in outlook and windows indicate that it should be shown, but it isn't. Is there a way to get it back? I have the latest version of outlook and windows 11.

Hi,

Do you mean the envelope badge on the Outlook icon? If so, it seems like a bug, but you can try these steps to see if it works for you.

Go to Windows Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Other system tray icons
Ensure Microsoft Outlook is turned on
Under Taskbar behaviors on the same page, enable the option Show badges on taskbar apps
In Outlook settings, ensure the option Show an envelope badge in the taskbar is turned on
Unpin the Outlook icon on the taskbar
Right-click on Outlook from the Start menu then select Pin to taskbar
Restart the computer and see if it works

I followed the suggested steps, including unpinning Outlook from the taskbar, restarting my computer, and pinning Outlook to the taskbar again. Unfortunately, the new mail badge is still not showing.

Desktop notifications are working normally, and “Show badges on taskbar apps” is enabled in Windows. The “Show envelope badge in the taskbar” option is also enabled in Outlook.

The badge used to work normally and suddenly stopped appearing. I’ve also tested both New Outlook and Classic Outlook, but the issue persists.
