Unable to remove a child from a family group they created

My child seemed to have created a family group, with possibly using another email as the main family organizer. But I cannot view what email is used, and he cannot remove himself with the current email. I am trying to add his current email to mine, but it says that he has to leave the other family group first. How do I get his current email to be detached from a self created family?

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

According to the Microsoft article here, only the person with the Organizer role can remove members or the child account from the family group.

To locate the email address of the family organizer, you can open this link in a private browsing tab,

    https://outlook.live.com/groups/

Sign in with your child's account.

    Select the 'Members' tab.

Then, select the organizer profile to find the contact information.

You can then try recovering that email address.

Let me know if you still need more help.
