I am using an iPad M2. In Microsoft Excel, the "Choose an account" screen shows multiple cached accounts.
I only want to keep my Outlook account (------@outlook.com). There is no Remove Account or Forget Account option.
I have already signed out, reinstalled the apps, and used Delete Login Credentials.

Please confirm the exact Microsoft-supported procedure to remove brokered identities from the iOS account picker and retain only one account.

I Tried everthing that suggested here by microsoft community, and still result zero...
seeking a urgent support on this from the microsfot officals ...

Thanks,
Shubham Saini

On iOS, Microsoft apps (Excel, Edge, Outlook, etc.) use a shared authentication system (Microsoft Authenticator / iOS Keychain). Because of this, accounts can remain visible in the “Choose an account” screen even after reinstalling apps.

There is no single in-app “remove account” option for brokered identities. You must remove them from the system level.

    Follow these steps carefully:

    1. Remove Accounts from Microsoft Authenticator
    • Open Microsoft Authenticator
    • Go to Accounts
    • Remove all unwanted accounts
    1. Check iOS Settings (Internet Accounts)
    • Go to Settings → Mail → Accounts
    • Remove any Microsoft/Exchange accounts you don’t want
    1. Clear Safari Data (important)
    • Go to Settings → Safari
    • Tap “Clear History and Website Data”

This removes cached login sessions used by Microsoft apps

    1. Remove Device from Microsoft Account
    1. Sign Out from All Microsoft Apps

Ensure you are signed out from Excel, Edge, Outlook, Teams, etc.

    1. Restart Your iPad

    This refreshes cached authentication tokens

    1. Reinstall ONE App Only

Install Excel (or your preferred app) again and sign in only with the account you want to keep

    Important Notes:

    • iOS stores authentication tokens securely in the system, not just inside apps
    • That’s why reinstalling apps alone does not remove accounts
    • Microsoft does not currently provide a direct UI to manage brokered identities inside each app

If accounts still appear, they are likely being pulled from Authenticator or iOS Keychain, so removing them from those sources is required.

The account -----@hoppworldwide61.onmicrosoft.com has already been permanently deleted from the tenant. However, it still appears in the Microsoft "Choose an account" picker on my iPad M2. There is no Remove Account or Forget Account option. Please advise how to clear the cached Microsoft identity/broker account from iPadOS so that only my Outlook account remains visible.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Go to iOS Settings > Apps > Mail > Mail Accounts.

Select the email provider you want to remove from the list, then tap Remove.

Your previous accounts may still be stored in this location. After removing them, try reinstalling the app and check whether those accounts appear again when you sign in.

If you still need help, let me know.
